Microsoft's Response to the New Deal
REDMOND, Wash. — April 9, 2008 — Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) today issued the following statement from Brad Smith, Microsoft’s General Counsel, related to an announcement today by Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO):
“Any definitive agreement between Yahoo! and Google would consolidate over 90% of the search advertising market in Google’s hands. This would make the market far less competitive, in sharp contrast to our own proposal to acquire Yahoo! We will assess closely all of our options. Our proposal remains the only alternative put forward that offers Yahoo! shareholders full and fair value for their shares, gives every shareholder a vote on the future of the company, and enhances choice for content creators, advertisers, and consumers.”

Will Steve Ballmer Throw Another Chair at (Expletive) Google's Eric Schmidt?
Eric Schmidt and co stuck it to Steve Ballmer once more. They have engineered a new deal with Yahoo to carry Google Ads for two weeks. Yahoo! just announced that its board agreed with the plan. This announcement appears to annoy Steve Balmer who threw a chair at a departing MSFT engineer. The engineer was going to Google. That is not what Steve wanted to hear. So he got pissed off and started throwing things around, according to John Batelle of BatelleMedia.com
"At that point, Mr. Ballmer picked up a chair and threw it across the room hitting a table in his office. Mr. Ballmer then said: "Fucking Eric Schmidt is a fucking pussy. I'm going to fucking bury that guy, I have done it before, and I will do it again. I'm going to fucking kill Google." ...."
Steve is pissed of. So he wants to find a huge power to help him take over Yahoo that continues to fight for its life. Steve is going to Murdock to enlist News Corp's funding power trying to show stockholders that he is truly interested in having Yahoo. It is one more deal. At the same time, AOL's TimeWarner is entering a deal with Yahoo for some time.

Googloo Ads: Google Ads on Yahoo! Welcome to the new Deal!
Google is lending a hand to pioneer giant company Yahoo! in its resistance to be forcely taken over by Microsoft. Google is abiding by its motto, "Do no Evil." Yahoo! announced that at some unspecified time it will begin a test of Google's Adsense for search at least on parts of its results. Google's brokered-ads will start showing up along Yahoo! search results.
"The test will last for no more than two weeks, and it will affect no more than three per cent of all Yahoo! search queries - all in the US. It will not affect Yahoo!'s affiliate sites - only yahoo.com."
Yahoo's board of directors is ready to look at alternatives to avoid the forced take-over by Washington. "this is part of an effort to "boost Yahoo's leverage in its ongoing takeover standoff with Microsoft."
Microsoft's Steve Ballmer is not too happy with the announcement. "Any definitive agreement between Yahoo! and Google would consolidate over 90% of the search advertising market in Google’s hands."
